+++ Tropical Storm Kika is passing south of the Hawaiian Islands +++ +++ Expected to pass south of Johnston Island

Currently, the center of Tropical Storm Kika is located near 10.4N and 159.8W. This places the center about 785 miles ESE of Johnston Island. The motion is to the west near 14 mph. This general track is expected to continue. Kika is expected to pass south of Johnston Island.

Maximum sustained winds are estimated at 40 mph. The pressure is estimated to be 1005mb. Little change in intensity is expected during the next day or so.

Since Kika is passing south of the Hawaiian Islands and poses a minimal threat to other islands, this is the final update on Kika. Updates will resume, if there is a threat to populated areas.
