+++ Ida inland and extra-tropical +++ Flood threat continues
Tropical storm conditions are no longer expected along coastal areas. Please refer to the National Hurricane Center or local emergency management officials for the official watches and warnings.
Currently, the center of Tropical Storm Ida is located near 30.6N and 87.6W. This places the center about 25 miles WNW of Pensacola, Florida. The motion is to the NE near 8 mph. This track is expected to continue for the
next day or so.
Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph. The pressure is 996mb. Little change in intensity is expected before landfall.
Coastal waters levels will continue to lower. 3-5 inches of additional rainfall can be exected. Isolated higher amounts are possible. This may cause flooding and mudslides in the southern Appalachians.
